Ava is 10 months old

Wow another month old, I can hardly believe where the time has went. S0 a few things have happened since the last blog.
  • Ava attempted to stay at Grandma Mimi's house. (notice I said attempted-At first I felt lost and like I was forgetting something. Geoff just told me to sit down, but I didn't know what to do with myself. Grandma called at 7 saying Ava is asleep, come to find out it was only a nap and she woke up so upset, so we went and got her. (she appears happy in the picture).
  • Ava is all over the place, she still isn't crawling but scooting and I am sure there will be holes in the bellies of her shirts since she is wearing that part out spinning around.
  • She can go backwards in her walker, but only in the kitchen.
  • She is kind of a picky eater (wonder where she gets that from).
  • She still is attached at the hip to me, and it will be a hard day once I go back to work (but first lets enjoy the summer).
  • She loves her little new pool that daddy bought her and it even has a nice little shade to keep the sun off her.
The kids just got back from Disneyland and sounded like they had lots of fun, now we don't have to feel guilty if we want to go there on our Honeymoon :).

Pajama Day

So today Ava and I decided to hang out in our Pj's today. She is moving all over the place i would say kinda doing the army crawl to spinning around to move from one side of the room to another. I feel like I can't get anything done she will only play with things for a couple of minutes before wanting to move on to the next thing. Here are pictures from today and this last week.

Over the last week

Its been just another non exciting week.
Ava 2 bottom teeth still are not all the way up, but coming slowly. She is sitting up and I feel soon going to be moving around a lot more.
It was a very hot weekend and so we bought Ava her own little pool and the kids a slip n slide, which looks like fun. Ava seem to just do ok in the heat, so next on our list is find a house with AC.
Taylor went to the woodburn drag strip and got to see the races. He has a good time, but said it was very loud. (The girls are taking a road trip)

My 1st Mother's Day

My 1st mother's day was wonderful, more than I could of asked for. I love being a mom and wouldn't change it for anything. I got to sleep in until 8:00 (yes i said sleep in), I was woken up with my super bigfoot frosty from Java Crew along with a single red rose. Geoff also bought donuts but I wasn't interested. We then headed up to Portland for Brunch with friend Mike, Margaret and their 2 kids Lauren and Joseph (Ava's 2ND boyfriend) at Shenanigans Restaurant where we drank champagne and had just ok food. Now I am feeling good (all liquored up) and we headed to the cemetery so I could be with my other little girl Ella. I brought her some pink flowers and just cried, thinking how unfair it is that she is not here. We did everything we were supposed to, and for some reason Ella didn't make it and its just not fair, everyone thinks they know how I feel, but they don't. Next stop was at my mom's house. Grandma Mimi was sick but wanted to give her Ava's gift that she made for her. It was a birdhouse with Ava's hand and feet prints, grandma loved it. That was my day and I had a great one. I am so thankful for Geoff and Ava.
