Ava is 14 months old

Ava is 14 months old, can you believe it? I can't! Well really the Dr say she is only 1 but still. I have been so lucky to get to stay at home with her all this time, but all good things must come to an end. So what has "Little Miss Ava" been up to.

  • Ava weighs 18lbs 3 oz (she can't face forward in the car until she gets to 20lbs, so maybe by the age of 3 she will get to)
  • Ava has an attitude, big time
  • Ava started going to daycare part time
  • Ava can stand on her own
  • Ava walks along everything, but just hasn't taken the first step.

"Stay at Home Mommies Club!"

A.C Gilbert Discovery Village - Week 1
I didn't get a chance to post last week about our day at the Gilbert House. Some of us stay at home mommies thought it would be fun to get together and take the kids somewhere to play. So Mindy and Tru, Amber and Jack, Heather, Abbie and Katie, and don't forget Ava and I went to the Gilbert House Children's Museum. Me not growing up in Salem had know idea about it. Ava was a little too young, she did crawl some places (but me being a clean freak, it was dirty). The older kids had fun, Ava not so much. Oh well! But it was nice to hang out with all my friends.

NW Kids Club Play date - Week 2

So this week we decided to go to NW Kids Club and the group was Mindy and Tru, Amber and Jack, Heather, Abbie and Katie, Kristen and Kylie, Lacey and Reese, and Ava and I.
This place Ava loved she could crawl any and everywhere, they had toys, sandbox, cars, slides and a bouncy house. Ava really loved the ride on horse.
I am sad that soon I will have a job and will miss out spending time with all the other mommies but especially my baby girl.
Next week play date is at my house.

Overnight Coast Trip

So it was Geoff, Ava and I and also Mike, Margaret, Lauren and Joseph that stayed the night at the coast Sunday night. Mike and Geoff headed over real early Sunday to take some people crabbing and then Margaret and left about 11:00.

We had lunch at McDonald's since the kids were starving and then we headed to the outlet mall for some shopping, which I hated every minute of it :). We checked into the hotel about 4 and waited for the guys, and waited until about 6:30. When they finally got to the room us girls were so hungry so we went to Izzy's. Man some real winners live in Newport and they must all eat at Izzy's. Come guy behind us burped so loud we thought it was an accident but he kept doing it, gross.
After no sleep.. poor baby Joseph hurt his arm and kept hurting it so was crying all night long, the only ones that got any sleep were Lauren and Ava. Then 6:00 came way too early and Ava was us and I was trying to be so quiet, but then Geoff asked "why" its not like anyone got any sleep last night. Men!. So after everyone was up off to breakfast we went.

We then headed out on the boat, yes this is Ava's first boat ride, and I was a little nervous on how she would do, but she did great, she loved it so now were going to have to buy a boat. So they guys went and pulled the 5 crab traps that the left in over night and guess what the got, a whole lot of nothing, well some starfish.

So both kids passed out on the boat in their life jackets so Geoff layed Ava on the bed in the life jacket, she was out nothing was going to wake her up. The guys had another plan that us girls would go shopping and meet them after they go pull some more crab traps. More shopping, i can't believe it, but alright.

We took the kids to see the Sea Lions that are on the pier, which Ava loved, I think she wants one of those too (to bad for her).

Well that was our first overnight trip with Ava and all went great, but next time, NO KIDS!

Another Zoo Day

So Tuesday was $2.00 day at the Zoo, and since its Mindy's 1st week with no job I thought it would be fun to go to the Zoo. So around 9:00 I got a call from Tru saying "you can come pick us up now" but it takes me forever to get out of the house with Ava.

So since I promised Mindy a coffee we waited in line for 15-20 minutes, and of course I had to get one too :). Ava was already asleep as soon as we left the driveway and as soon as we picked up Tru and Mindy she was awake.
We then headed to P-Town and I guess I went a different way then everybody I think Mindy said "No one goes this way!". We got there and OMG packed, no where to park we drove around for 30-45 minutes looking for a spot.

So we got to see the baby elephant, which was so cute (i want one). Ava had some dippin dots (which she loved) and we just had a great time.

Oh yeah let me tell you about my scare. So I thought I lost my wedding ring. When we parked I took it off to put sunscreen on Ava and forgot about it, so I was praying it was inside the trunk where I set it, but it wasn't, it was outside the car on the bumper, I was so lucky no one saw it. So besides that it was a great day.
