A Spring Break Staycation

What is a staycation? Well here is the meaning from the Urban Dictionary, everyone should check out the urban dictionary http://www.urbandictionary.com/.

Staycation -A vacation spent close to home.

Since the weather sucks, we had to change our plans many times.

Day 1- Sunday

We ended up at the Dallas Aquatic center, which was a chore especially with Ava. This was a family trip and the Thalman's too minus Jason. The kids had a great time, we even had Maddy spend the night so that means i had 5 kids Monday morning.

Day 2- Monday

Geoff had to work so the kids and I went to the Thalman household to drop off Maddy and play for a bit, a low key day.

Day 3 - Tuesday

I took all 4 of the kids to Create-A-Memory, Grandma Mimi came to help, which was a good thing, cause Ava was not into painting she wanted to run around and scream (i hate the terrible 2's, and I hope they don't last very long).

Then after Ava wouldn't nap, we ended up doing what I was planning for Friday. Car ride to Beaverton to Build-A-Bear. The kids loved it, even though i gave them a budget.

Day 4- Wednesday

The Lands (not Ava) and The Thalman's went to Woodburn Aquatic center and played in the water for a couple of hours

Day 5 - Thursday

The Zoo trip, not only did we go to the zoo but it was a zoo. 3 moms (Amber, Mindy and I) and 10 kids (Katy, Kelsey, Taylor, Ava, Maddison, Emma, Tru, Maya, Sylas and Jack) trying to keep track of everyone was a chore. All and all we had a great time.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Today is an important day for my mom so I have learned to deal with the music, the drinking being part Irish.

So today Ava and I had a chill day at home, well not really I had a breakdown and Geoff had to come home and save me for 30 mins. Everything was going good until lunch time came around, when Ava dumped out the whole thing of shredded cheese, then she was quick and grab some yogurt and threw that across the kitchen (what a mess). Finally got her in the highchair and gave her some lunch, when I turned around to get her some home made applesauce her lunch was on the floor, oh it gets better, so i am putting the lid on the applesauce when and some how it tipped and applesauce everywhere, I mean everywhere (behind the stove). So here i am irritated cleaning up all the messes when the garbage disposal stopped working and the sinks backed up. That is when I fell to the floor crying and made Geoff come home.

The day ended better than it started. We went to Grandma's house for a traditional Irish dinner, corned beef and cabbage. Ava loves corned beef, she ate all of grandmas. We listen to lots of Irish music (my fav, not really). Aunt Eileen, Audrey and Bridget were there in there green and then Miss Ava wore a dress that Audrey wore when she was little, and looked so cute in it.

All and all we had an ok day. Hope someone had a green beer for me.
